The estate you stay is located in the core zone of the Periyar Tiger Reserve and hence we do get a variety of birds and animals wandering in the property. We offer a nature walk with a naturalist who will walk you though the some varied terrains and the chances of spotting wildlife is good if you start early. The walk for a duration of about 2-3 hours is a rewarding experience as you will get to see the jungle walking up. The estate is home to some endangered species like the Lion tailed Macaque and the splendid Great pied Hornbill that often nests in the estate during breeding time. You oten get to see a lot right from the comforts of the bungalow either from the lawns or the deck.
